The Dog as art....
Some years ago I discovered, quite by accident, that I had a certain knack for sculpting dog heads out of clay. I suppose that spending so much time around dogs just gives me an insight into their shapes and moods.
Anyway yesterday, while cleaning out a closet, I ran across several cans of PlayDoughİ left by former occupants. So what's a guy to do other than open them up and mess around with the stuff. Instinctively I started on a dog's head and I thought what the heck, I'll do D. Daphne Dog and so I did.
Playdoughİ is a hard medium to work in. Gravity has more an effect on it than ordinary clay, so I had to work fast before the work of art slowly oozed away. The differing colors resulted from some red stains in otherwise mostly yellow Dough.
