60 Years today...
May 24th is my parents wedding anniversary. 60 years ago today they tied the knot in Webster Groves Missouri, shortly after my Dad got back from his almost 4 years overseas in Europe.
It's a strange idea, but as I got older this year the thought occured to me....wow, that's longer than I've been alive! Thankfully. Carol and Wally have had their ups and downs, good times and some very bad ones [some attributable to me] but have weathered all storms and come out still loving one another. That's really all we can hope for. So thanks, Mom and Dad for being there thru thick and thin. What a pleasure, it is to be able to reside so close to them and to be able to now help them out when they need it.
We had a not so big party at The Wall Street Bar and Grill, went to their house with for some snapshots of the happy couple with flowers the kids sent and that was that. But the memory of their help and guidance never fades..... Here's Carol and Wally.
