A picnic would be nice.....

In my younger days I used to relish cold weather. Now, two or three days of cold and gloomy weather like we've been having is about it for me. After my major surgery I find myself much less adaptable to the cold, or maybe the cold and wind. Perhaps too I'm just getting old. Nah, that couldn't be it.

But I do long for some warmer weather to soothe my soul. I can only harken back to today's Picture of the Day and remember the warmth of summer weather and a picnic with loved ones on the green grass of the estate. I too can remember when we had a nice yard with green grass for this picture was taken before D. Daphne Dog moved in. It's amazing how much damage a hyperactive canine can inflict on St. Augustine!

And a note here: I reserve the right to complain about the hot weather come August.
