Midland Panorama...
Several weeks ago I mentioned being high atop the Midland County Courthouse with Judge John Hyde. I left the reason unstated. The reason, now stated, is that we wanted to reproduce a panoramic photograph to match one that I had from 1926. My new panoramic view matches as closely as possible the shot taken in 1926 though from the old courthouse the original photographer was closer to the street than I and I did experience a slight degree of distortion due to the panoramic lens I used to shoot the images that make up this new shot. I've become interested in who the 1926 photographer was and what kind of camera and lens he used to shoot his wide angle image. I've not yet added the numerical reference points to match the pictures, but again the points in the old and new photos match up very nicely.
