Money for schools...forget it!
Well the results are in on our big school facilities improvement bond election. The voters say resoundingly, "hell no, we don't want to fix our schools up!" The bond package was, admittedly large [up to $160 million], and somewhat convoluted in it's wording, but at it's core was the need to fix up our school infrastructure. Many of the schools are basically the same as when I attended them some years, OK, decades ago. The voters were asked to approve several different levels of work to be done, and if my addition is correct, they approved.......none. These are the same voters who just 3 short years ago had no problem in saying, "hell yes" to a brand new state of the art Sports Complex costing $48 million. What does this tell you?
It confirms my belief that most people are morons and the world is going to sports hell. My bumper sticker which goes into production soon follows.
