For a day that started out with "dog vomit" it went very well. Being attuned to having strange noises awaken me to a high state of alert, a dog vomiting certainly did the trick. I don't think that Tres actually meant to vomit, I prefer to believe that it just snuck up on him as has happened to us all. And actually it was not a full fledged vomiting attack, no, more like a deep canine belch that went awry. In any case, the damage to the blue-green carpet was minimal although the actual "vomit" did have the tint of chili to it. I don't believe that Tres has had chili lately so this is a mystery.
Being before dawn, I decided to deal with the spot after several more hours sleep. And so after sunrise, I had no trouble in dealing with the vomit and in fact I have had considerable experience in cleaning up dog accidents over the years, and have found the most useful tool, to be my pancake spatula. A very tidy procedure, although I suspose now I'll have to wash the spatula before my next pancakes.
